I just came from Meijer’s. Bought all the fresh vegetables (good Thanksgiving prices) and picked up some more flour for my weekly baking of bread. I was taken with the abundance. It’s hard to stay in the stale mood of our politics and economics when such beauty of bounty is everywhere. Even on my way out, I saw a gorgeous, tall, woman with her hair pulled back, and a black cape around her with just a peak of pink (her baby in a pince hooded jacket snug in her sling and just protruding from the black.) Would be a stunning picture on any fashion magazine.
Driving home I noticed that gasoline was selling for $3.15-$3.25. Since oil is almost $100, I have to assume there is NO DEMAND and so price has dropped. People are still cautious.
