Independence Day

Independence Day gives us a break midweek; some have added this past M and T to last wkend and The 4th; others will take the later half of the week; and still others will combine the 2 wkends plus The 4th for a 10 day vacation.  Why does this matter?  Summer is a low volume season and this period even less trades occur.  So, unless you can watch the stocks bounce around, stay away.  There will be spikes that mean little and some stocks may tank and it means even less.  But if you can watch, you can sell on those spikes and buy a favorite when it tanks.

Enjoy the Day off.  If you get a chance to read Kass’ short/medium term prediction, written today, I think you will find it interesting but complicated.  I read it 3 times before I felt comfortable that I understood all the nuance.
