About 5-6 years ago, when the downturn was starting in MI, the Medical Office I go to for routine care and yearly physicals, informed me, “no call-ins for prescriptions.”  My physical is always November/December.  However, my MD is on “leave” and no appointment till Februrary.  HMMM!. “What about all the meds that run out/”  “Oh, just call us.” I wrinkle my brow,”but I thought you had to have an appointment.”  “Oh, no, just call us.”  Now some would say they are being more accomodative.  But we all know, the policy change ’cause the extra office visits either weren’t paid or they are just too buy to add fluff to their roster.
