I bought T because Cramer added it to his Charity Trust for which I subscribe (action alerts). He rates each stock in the portfolio:
“Here’s the quick guide to my rating system, too: Ones are stocks I would buy right now, Twos are stocks that I would buy on a pullback, Threes are stocks I would sell on strength and Fours are stocks I want to unload as soon as my trading restrictions allow.”
Ranks change and explanations are often given. T has been a 1. short-hand for accumulate. Out of the blue, today, T was sold and eliminated from the Action Alerts Portfolio. No real explanation. A one is a sale? I sure am wondering about what they say versus what the do!
T | 0 | +$2.56 | +1.23%profit
2/1/2012 | 7 | $29.65 | $207.55
3/23/2012 | -7 | $31.43 | -$220.01 |
As you can see, T was a solid, boring hold, which generated a 1.23% profit and a 5.6% dividend. Sounds sound to me. Wondering what Jim Cramer sees, must be something to have him make a decision to sell a stock that he rates a Number 1.
